Yamaha S08 sustain pedal issue

I just purchased a used Yamaha s08 but sustain pedal is not working at all. Just wondering if anybody know how to correct this issue or it has to be sent out for repair. I'd tried the fc5 pedal and some universal brand and none of them work. Thanks.
