Yamaha PSR-293 Transpose Problem

I have a Yamaha PSR-293. I like to transpose sometimes, and it's no problem when I have the entire keyboard on one setting. But once I split the keyboard into two different voices, the function button no longer gets me into "transpose" even once I've gone out of split mode. The only way I get the transpose function back is to shut off and restart. Help!
