How Can I Increase Internal Memory of Yamaha PSR I425?

i have bought styles from website for my yamaha psr i425. but the problem is that the keyboard has only 373kb memory. so at a time i can only use 7-8 styles. its very difficult to deal with all styles. do you have any solution? can you give me that styles with reduced size? or how can i increase flash memory of my board? reply please

Hello Sunil,

I am afraid you can NOT increase internal memory.
It is a complaint people had for a long time. Even memory chips are not nearly as expensive as before, Yamaha is still very greedy with their (fixed) internal memory in the middle and lower-end keyboards.

You can make styles smaller and there are several programs to do so. I give you two websites where you can find them and they are free.

psrtutorial.com and look for Michael Bedesems fantastic free software
You can also download TONS of free styles.

jososoft.dk has also good free programs and styles.

One point I want to make, when you make your styles smaller, you loose quality as well.

Where is the Yamaha PSR I-425 manufactured?

I need to buy PSR I-425 keyborad from Madurai. When I enquired about it I came across keyboards made in China and made in Japan. Who is the manufacturer of genuine ones? Where can I get the genuine one in Madurai?

I bought a yamaha keyboard from a dealer, later I found it was made in china. So I inquired about it on phone.
The product is genuine; they have a manufacturing unit in china.

In India you can call on 0124 485 3300 Yamaha and confirm the product serial no. they will instantly tell you where it is genuine item or not.

hi bro this is sriram from chennai, a key board teacher, i suggest this board for many of my students, usually i use to get it in yamaha square at nungambakkam.
to find whether the peice is original, the mrp is 17595 rs(for board only), the original dealer has the original yamaha stand and he wont give the X model stand. you can predict by the stand that he is going to give.
if u r a pro u can identify the original piece by it sustain and touch level.

Dear Aswin,

Besides in Japan, Yamaha, and also other brands, have big factory's all over the world. Like in China, Indonesia, Mexico etc. All these factory's are having the same high standard quality-control, So if you buy your keyboard from an official dealer you don't have to worry about buying a fake. To be honest I have never seen an imitation of a keyboard anywhere in my life.
I hope this puts your mind at ease.
