Yamaha CVP103 - Why do my settings keep disappearing?

Hi - I have one of the older Clavinova's - a CVP 103. I constantly have to go through and update my settings even as I am using the keyboard for 1 session. If I switch registered selections and go back to a registration I was just using a few minutes ago, my settings are quite often altered (just the reverb and chorus) Not a big deal, but I wonder if there is a simple trick to fix this. I always save the current settings after they are 'correct', but lose them and it's always the same ones. Frustrating. Thanks for any useful info you can give me.
