Yamaha CLP-280 - Sound Just Stopped

by Graham

CLP-280 - SOUND JUST STOPPED. There was a garbled screen error code. Tried everything, factory reset etc. Still no sound, no sound if headphones plugged in. All menu/selection functions appear normal.

It’s just that there is zero sound.

Is there a fuse that needs looking at?

It is possible that a fuse may have blown in your Yamaha CLP-280
by: Roger

It is possible that a fuse may have blown in your Yamaha CLP-280, causing the loss of sound. The best way to check for a blown fuse is to consult the owner's manual for your specific model. It should provide information on the location of the fuse and how to replace it.

If you are unable to locate the fuse or if replacing the fuse does not resolve the issue, there may be another problem with the instrument. It is possible that there is an issue with the speakers or amplifiers, or there may be a problem with the internal circuitry. In these cases, it is best to contact a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
