Yamaha CLP-122S - Recording MIDI to Cubase or Logic Pro X

Is anybody successfully recording Midi to Cubase or Logic Pro X from CLP-122S?
If so, which midi interface are you using please?
I’ve not had any success with my Gear4Music one.
