Yamaha CLP 470 recording issue

HI, I am playing on a Yamaha CLP 470 and I try to record music: I bought a brand new USB device, but it is actually impossible to export recording on it. The piano displays "E04" every time I try to convert a MIDI to audio, or directly recording an audio file.

Could it be a USB problem or is my piano broken?

Do you mind sharing exactly which USB device you are using. I have and am using one I bought online through MoDo-King and have not been successful in saving recordings either. Occasionally I seem to find the right combination of button pushes but haven't gotten anything consistent working as yet. Feels like a kind of puzzle. Wondering if our problems are related.
