Yamaha Clavinova CVP 303 Firmway

Hi

Can you explain how can I actualize the firmware on a clavinova cvp 303?
The USB port to device don't recognize the USB pen.
The floppy disk doesn't have enough space to store the files of the firmware.
The Smart Media doesn't exist in the market for several yes.
Why do Yamaha write in firmware update instructions to use a USB pen?
Is this make any sense?
