Yamaha Clavinova Bluetooth Headphones Pairing

How to pair Bluetooth headphones with the Yamaha Clavinova. I have a CLP 685 and when I push the pair button it just stays pairing is it possible to need a special brand

I’m sure one could purchase a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver off Amazon and set it to transmit mode and plug into the headphone jack on the piano (adapter may be required). Then pair with Bluetooth headphone or a separate Bluetooth based speaker system and play. As noted above, I do suppose there may be a small lag - enough to throw you off - I’ve not tried this myself.

On realising you can’t use blue tooth head phones, I was gutted, but then thought ok I can do plug in headphones, only to find I needed a adapter, surely it would be in yamahas interest to supply a set of head phones with piano, not least because the dissatisfaction you feel when your new piano arrives, your find your way, and then can’t connect, I do believe this should be stated on the sales pitch. And the the disappointment wouldn’t be so bad

Bluetooth has a lag, because of the time it takes to compress and uncompress music on both sides. It is tiny, down to 100 ms, but enough to ruin everything. so it is pretty useless to play piano. Yamaha is simply doing the right thing here

It is extremely bad to have a top piano (clp 685 that advertises on having bluetooth) and not being able to connect wireless headphones. Today I bought bluetooth headphones and I now understand that I can throw them away.

Unfortunately the clp685 cant sent audio to a bluetooth device, items can only function as a bluetooth recevier.
Zo you can only send audio to the clp ( e.g. from spotify and use the clp speakers)
The software of the clp685 is rather dissappointing
