About floppy disk.
by: Mike

A friend of mine, has a Clavinova CVp 107. Sorry because my English is not good enough. I made some midi notes on my computer, then I put these midi notes (a midi song), into a floppy disk, and then I put this floppy disk into the Clavinova 107. Until here, ok. Then I changed voices, and pan on some tracks of this song, but I can not save these changes to the floppy disk for ever. I mean to save these changes ONLY to the floppy disk, NOT to the hard disk of Clavinova. How can I do this? Thank you very much.

playback from floppy
by: Dick Rector

Hello Freesia,

Rita answered your question already and if I may ad something:
If you can record onto a floppy you can of course listen back to the recording on the piano.
You must have given a name to each piano-piece when you saved it, look that 'song' up, activate it and it will play back.
Mind!! Maybe a sideline.... The recording is a MIDI-file and it will play back on any MIDI-instrument like all keyboards are but MIDI is NOT music as such. If you put your floppy in a computer and want to listen to a song, you need a free program like VANBASCO'S KARAOKE PLAYER. And if you like to make a CD from your recordings you need a bit more to do but it is quite easy!
If you want to know more about it, please come back to this forum.
For a manual go to yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/index.php and download one in PDF format.
You need ADOBE PDF reader to read and/or print it.

Regards
Dick

Listening to floppy disk playback
by: Rita

Hi,
I had a dgx300 and I recorded AND played back the songs on the floppy drive.

I used it many times so that I could add xtra voices...the playback always worked good on it.

I just had to put in the disk and load it and hit the start button.
The directions will be in your manual...if you don't have the manual, I did lookup on google search and found a manual for my dgx220.

I hope this is helpful.
