Opening a Yamaha Clavinova CLP360

Hi, how do I open the top of the CLP360 piano. I don't know which screws to undo. I see it is hinged at the back.

I was wondering since you have a clp360, could you answer a question?
I know the fuse is a 250 volt 1.25 amp. What I don't know that weather it is a fast blow or slow blow fuse.

Dear John: I doubt there are members among us who may own the same unit or have a service manual. As an "old timer" myself,I would suggest you do as I. Go through a trial & error procedure
by unscrewing or releasing whatever fasteners you come across and reversing each action if not positive. Also make notes while you work. This may be tedious, but your memory may be jogged during the procedure and it is likely that you will eventually open the unit. As a favor to all of us, could you please follow-up with a post describing what you have done. Thanks and good luck. Keep well.

I have done it before
by: John

Hi, thanks for your comments, but I have opened it before, many years ago, it is 20 years old, but I have lost the service diagram which showed me which screws etc. If someone had a service diagram they could scan and send me I could probably do the job. I is not worth getting in a professional. I would guess it is only worth about £200. Not even worth buying a service manual. (owner's manuals are readily downloadable for nothng)I love this old beast and I am thinking of getting a new instrument, but though playable this one needs an adjustment. I am thinking of giving it to an old friend if I get another one.

Dear John: Unless you are a qualified technician
with experience, tools and test equipment (all of which may apply in your case) you should seriously consider leaving any required attention of your unit to a professional. Here's one contact

Puretech Solutions, UK – (Yamaha-approved Tech. Svce. www.puretechsolutions.co.uk

Please accept this suggestion positively, and not as a (negative) criticism. Good luck.
