New Yamaha YPT-255 Won't Turn On

I am helping my brother-in-law set up his new Keyboard noted above. It worked right out of the box, but he moved into a new apartment, it will not turn on. I am aware of the auto off situation. Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks. AMS
