Can't Transfer User Songs to Computer....

I'm trying to transfer User Songs from my keyboard to my computer. I have installed Musicsoft Downloader and the drivers. I've established the connection between my computer and the keyboard using a cord. ("Your instrument is connected to your computer properly.")


However, the USB icon is not showing up lit on the main screen, and when I press Menu (under file control), it won't let me scroll up to User File Save. In Musicsoft Downloader, under "Electronic Musical Instrument," there is *NOTHING* except for the backup file on System Drive. Where are the MIDI user files?

My questions:
-How do I convert my files to MIDI and transfer them?
-Is the USB file supposed to be lit? Why isn't it lit when Musicsoft says that the keyboard and computer are properly connected?

I have usb cable bought especially, I can transfer songs from my pc to my piano, but not other way around, it states its an IFO file which wont play on my pc and when tried to covert the converters cant do this. Have also tried various programs I have to play it on. I have yamaha V60 model. I have a feeling we will have to buy a special certain expensive program to make it happen. As our pcs are not recognising the file types I think, thats the problem. I also have music downloader to and having exact same problems as others mention here, the file sits there but cant do nothing with it. Cant open it, cant convert it, cant play it.

Hello, i see in Musicsoft downloader under Electronic musical instrument, just a Flash memory item , but it doesn`t open it. There is not songs or styles displayables, there `s no more items, then i can ´t send nothing to PC. (I have a PSR 295). I need help. Thank you...

I am having the same problem. I understand the answer to be to use a flash drive. Why do you have to use a flash drive to transfer songs when the piano and PC are already connected via a USB cord?

highlight the usersong you want to transfer to your gig stick-plug the gig stick into the back of your piano, wait for USB to be highlighted on the piano's screen, when it's lit, convert the usersong to a SMF standard midi file.
Go to page 94 in the YPG625 manual & follow the instructions. When you press exit, detach your gig stick from back of piano, attach stick to your pc usb port & double click on USERFILES. It will play on windows media player.
