Can I plug guitar into Yamaha PSR 8000 and get various effects?

Good day.

I would like to find out whether,the psr 8000 once plugged your guitar in, can u get different effects such has distortion etc? . I am new to guitar and have a piano which belongs to my dad. So would rather use the psr 8000 instead if going out and buying various effects
